type='text'>Comcast Craziness

so where i live there's been a crazy comcast(one of our local cable providers) frenzy. apparently comcast is switching to completely digital signal and we only had analog cable so we had to switch our box for the digital box. the digital service is nicer, nicer picture and everything BUT: as of right now we're getting all of the digital channels in addition to our normal cable lineup we're getting all of the digital channels, including: cinemax, all of the hbo's, and showtime. none of which we signed up for. has anybody else had to switch their cable box with comcast?? now i'm almost positive that this is just like a promotion thing to show us how amazing these channels are and then they'll take them away in hope that we'll pay the enormous amount that comcast charges for those channels--which we don't want to do. so, do you think that we'll get an enormous digital bill at the end of the month?? we'll wait and see,.....i love technology but sometimes the corporate aspect just ruins it completely.
Psych

so tonight a new show called Psych premiered on the USA network. and to tell you the truth i can't decide how i feel about it. because i didn't dislike it, i'm just not sure if i actually like it or not. there were a couple actors in it that i really liked, which was always a plus, and the acting wasn't too bad. i guess i liked the show, my hesitation is just whether or not it'll stay interesting. i would definitely reccomend that you check it out though, it would be a wasted of time and that way you can ignore this shitty review and decide for yourself. gotta love television.
Tracking or No Tracking, that's the question.

so i've ordered my tavi and it's arrival is eminant(i know i didn't spell that right) but i'm going to florida on thursday so it's very possible that it will arrive on thursday just a couple hours after i leave. IT'S KILLING ME I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT!!!!!!!!!! anyway, i've been using the tracking number of the package to find out where it is and because i want this so bady i check it like every five min. well when i came home today i checked and it was in new jersey and didn't leave for a few hours. i was consumed and kept checking, it would'nt leave fricken new jersey.!!!! and then i had to go to dinner and i had a long dinner and then the second i caught sight of my comp i checked again........this time it was only an hour away in RI. i couldn't believe it, so it's actually possible that i could get it tomorrow!!!! i'm dying of suspense. the tracking number has really consumed me, should they still have it?? somebody else tries to or does a nice thing and it doesn't turn out too great.....god damn it's annoying. tonight i was at temple and we were doing an official welcome service/ceremony to welcome our knew associate rabbi, even though he's been there for a few months. he was soo happy and everything which is very nice, and he (the rabbi) had a lot of family there and stuff, it was all very dandy. the problem was this: it's 8:00 on a friday night and the heat was broken so it was really hot in the chaple. normally the service isn't that long but because of the special thing they planned for the rabbi, there were 4 sermons, by 4 different people. that's right 4 SERMONS!!!!!! half way through, the children have died and their bodies were decomposing, and there were even a fair amount of adults that were starting to dose off. it was very nice for the rabbi, but come on he's been there for like 3 months already, you're kidding me right? during the endless sermons i had plenty of time to daydream. i'm in a local production of animal farm(the play) and i wanted to do something nice for the cast to boost team spirit and moral during rehearsals. so i wanted to get some of those silicon bracelets, too fucking expensive and i don't need 3000 of them, tried keychains, again i didn't need 300000000 of them, i kept trying more and more things. i was sitting at my computer for sooo long. it was driving me crazy. everything was either tooo expensive, or i would end up having more of them then god. all i wanted to do was something nice and fun and if i did i'd either be broke or swimming in novelty shit, you're kidding me right?
Joke or No-Joke?

listen, i love inside jokes. i really do, infact i may be the Lord of inside jokes. i think, even though it is a little annoying, that it's fine if a few people have a little thing that you don't know about and all of a sudden something happen that makes them all start laughing. what i'm not sure how i feel about is when somebody just starts laughing. like you see them look up at you, somebody else, a marble, or nothing inparticular and then just start laughing. now, it is funny to watch and it has happened to me a few times, but i'm talking about people who do it continuously. you're never quite sure what they're laughing about. it's like "are you laughing at me?" wat the hell is going on(and yes i do know how to spell what, it's just faster to spell it 'wat'). it's just really annoying and frankly i don't know what their problem is. maybe it's some weird kind of chemical embalance or something. if there is a pyschologist reading this please click on the mailto link and tell me why people do that. if you're one of the peolpe i'm talking about then: simma-down-na!<div the us version of the first season of battlestar galactica come today. i'm so excited so i can see the miniseries. it is pretty pathetic huh that i true bsg geek like me has never seen more than the first episode of the miniseries that started the stupid show. another thinng that you guys should feel bad for me about. i've been talking with my friend about going to see the corpse bride since the beginning of august and so i suggested that this weekend we go and see it. and you know what she said! she said that she couldn't go because she's going with another friend. i'm completely fine that she has other friends, i don't want you to think that i'm a friend hog or anything, but when you start ditching other your friends for other ones for no other reason except for the fact that you forgot about something that you've been talking about for months. you can get hurt by it. the worst part is that after she was all rude and said that she couldn't see the movie she just went on like nothing happend. if you have any bitchy friend story's than please comment or email me i'd love to put them on the blog and read them on the show. thanks so much, and for all of you inconsiderate friends out there who read this and realized that you were inconsiderate: you don't have to kiss the feet of the offended friend or anything, all they want is an apology, because /wout one it makes them feel like they're not worth anything to you. i hope that you learned something.

i'm going to explode

ok, i posted a double .5 episode and it uploaded fine. when i went to link it here for all of you lovely people there wasn't any show on the internet. if anyof you know wat the hell is going on please comment i'm really pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: if any of you know who does the song: mosaic motion would you please comment as well. thanks

Hurricanes, Hurricanes

Please donate to the American Red Cross to help Hurricane Katrina victims AND for the clean-up of Hurricane Rita.

Sorry for not updating often. so you did the laundry and made dinner, i do it all of the freakn' time! most of them make everything that they do sound impossible so when they finally do it, it sounds like a miracle. well for all of you people out there who i'm talking about listen up: i can see right through you! so shut up, because getting through a "conversation" with you (conversation is in quotes because it's more like a sermon of hardship or a complain festival than an actual conversation) feels like the boobonic plague hit and you're making your socalled plight an aura of death to the people around you! I'd say it was about a 2 hours drive; not a big deal for me. Thing is, we were out in the COUNTRY. Cell phone service? No. Building 15 stories high? Nope. School 3 blocks away? Nope, make it 30 blocks. Any malls around? Not unless you consider Wal-Mart to be a mall.

So, what are we supposed to do when we're bored? Go shopping is a good idea, but to Wal-Mart? Ugh, I don't think so. Yeah, they've got a lot of stuff there, but I won't say they have good quality stuff at great prices. I couldn't find a SINGLE pair of jeans that were actually "good" denim; they only had crappy jeans that you can get for $10 at TJ Maxx. No designer labels to drool over, no good quality items that will last for at least 6 months. they only had items that will last 2 months at the most.

Wal-Mart has everything, but the "everything" they refer to is crap.

TJ Maxx is better :p

Meet the Golden Girls!

i don't know if you love the Golden Girls but i certainly do. they're so hilarious i could say the same repeats and laugh just as much even though it's the same episode. if you haven't seen the show you really should check them out, their on at 6:30 weeknights on Lifetime. personnaly i think that Lifetime is an annoying channel but i love the Golden Girls! sometimes the characters sing on the the show and it's really funny let alone entertaining. i've always wanted to get the songs that they sang on the show and so one day i was checking out the DPP's site and i found this link. it took me to a website that i never heard of that had the Golden Girls singing songs that they sang on the tv! it was so great! it's 12 tracks and none of them are more than 1.5 mb! i got them all even though i don't think that i ever heard some of them. check it out, all of the songs are free or just wait for episode #6 of my podcast and you'll hear a couple tracks!

Stomach

omg. i'm on a trip in maine now and to day i ate at the maine diner. it was pretty good. they have a huge menue and make most of their things there. here's the thing at most places where they make "everything" at "home" they never make the corned beef hash and it's always the shitty canned stuff. you'll here more about me and corned beef hash in episode 6 of my podcast but anyway. after much deliberation i had irish benidect and a brownie sunday. everything was good but at the end i could have sworn that my stomach exploded. they had to call in a hazmat crew, it was scary, let alone painful. don't you just hate stomach-explosion-bloat-feeling!?!

Ugh

Ugh, I got bitten by a mosquito on my butt. What's the difference between the duck that you didn't want to eat and the chicken that you are eating? They're both dead at the moment, so you might as well eat it. AND, they are both killed humanely and they're both bred/made to be food for us. From the moment the birdy hatched, it was certain that it would be killed. I mean, if you don't eat the duck because you feel bad for it but you eat every other kind of animal, you might as well not eat them too! And don't forget the eggs!

Just because you see a duck in the pond doesn't mean that there are no CHICKENS! There are chickens on the farms!

Point is, there is inequality between the chicken and the duck. Apparently, many people believe that ducks should not be eaten but it's okay for the chicken to be eaten...... I don't get that.

Well, I think I'm done rambling for now.

By the way, I'm NOT a vegetarian :D

Picture of the Day

The first-ever photo of whale flatulence, a.k.a. a whale farting...

The scientists who took this photo said they could smell the gas from their helicopter. Not only was the thunder the LOUDEST thunder I've ever heard, I've never seen so much LIGHTNING and about 4 houses in towns nearby were struck.

If you can hear the pop/snap of the lightning strike, IT WAS CLOSE. I heard a pop twice. I looked at the electrical wires to make sure they were okay, and I saw them sparkling with electricity! Now THAT was scary.

The power went out. No big deal. I can't tell when it goes out at night anyway.

The thunder was so loud that the ground shook.... and those were the close ones. After a while I got so freaked-out that I blocked my ears and put my head under the pillow.

So I'm lying there: I can't hear or see a thing. Then, my bed starts shaking from the thunder. THAT WAS REALLY SCARY.

After the storm FINALLY passed, I watched the flashes in the sky from the lightning strikes about 5 miles away.

And you know what the eeriest thing of all was? Nobody was outside and there were NO lights at all (except for the flashes). It was weirder when there were no flashes.

Point is, I've never been so nervous during a thunderstorm. I would keep writing but I just got this fancy new keyboard and I'm still learning to type on it so this entire post took me about 35min to write. Considering a podcast amature it think it's a decent show but because i'm an amature i have NO FUCKING IDEA on how to get it on the web because podblaze screwed me over. so if you are not an amature and know what the hell i should do click the email link and email me. Thanks. Also, about BSG if you want to check it out and want some backround info a great website that will give you summeries of the past episodes and seasons check out http://www.clivebanks.co.uk/Battlestar%20Intro%202.htm and clive should catch you out. if you're one of those wimps who either doesn't like or is afraid of scifi try this show because even though it takes place in space it's really more like drama. so please check it out.

Another goal is added to my list

I have a HUGE list of goals for me to accomplish. The acting is superlitive and so is the writing and directing. It's a little different than the original series(i never saw the original but i do know it's a little different from the podcast) but it's still BSG. if you don't know the story i'll give you the extremely brief version. in a distant solar system humans made AI robots called cylons, the rebelled and killed almost all the humans except for under 50,000 survivors who were in space. now they're fighting to live against the cylons. Cylon's developped 12 models of "human" cylons and the humans to infiltrate the humans. there's a lot more to it but that's the basic story. if you already watch the show, you kick ass, and if you didn't knowthis you can get a podcast of commentary of the show from itunes or scifi.com. it's a very good podcast but you'd either have to remember the show very well or listen to it while you're watching the show on mute, it's very informative. Number Six, one of the "human cylons", is not only one of the coolest/best villains EVER but she's also.......ok, she's just the best and one of my favorite characters in the show. (for those of you who don't know, not only is she a physical robot but she also lives in a micro chip in Dr. Baltars head who you don't see a lot of but he's very important). i love the way Six and Baltar interact and did you know that in real life the actor playing baltar made the character more comical without the help of he director? well he did. anyway, i die everytime Six talks to baltar and say somehing like "yes Gaius" or "Gaius, god will hold you in saferegard". i just die because it is soooooo fucking cool. this post probably didn't make much sense because not only was i all over the place but you who are reading this probably haven't even seen the best show on television. so what i suggest is either tivo the show or bite the bullet and stay up till 11:00 and watch (yes i'll say it again) the best fuckn show on television. i'll wait a little while(until next week) before posting another BSG post to give you a chance to see some re-runs. if you see next weeks episode and have questions which you probably will email me at openmouthsts@verizon.net with your questions and i will reply. so quick go, run, get off your ass and find some BSG re-runs from first or last season(this is the second season).

P.S. also check out scifi.com for some pictures of the show and summeries and also another link to the podcast.

My Favorite Anime Series

I'm a big anime fan. But I'm allergic to bees, MOMMY NOOO!

Why are there spelling bees? why are they even called spelling bees? Ok, I'm all for the nourishment of a childs education and knowledge, but a spelling bee?!? Why couldn't they just go on Who Wants To Be A Millionare or something like that. That would be an enriching experience, they would be on tv, meet a celebrity host, and show off there academic talents. I was in a spelling bee once a loooooooooong time ago and not only was it stupid but it was also subjective. sometimes the word that you had was harder than the word that the winner won by. Besides nothing really good comes out of them anyway. The kid gets nervous about going up on stage by himeself and the parents get over excited about it. Then the kid looses over a word like "diamond" and the parents pretend that it's no big deal even though they want to smack the kid upside the head for not being the smartest one there and upholding the family genepool. most of the time the parents enter their kid in the bee without even asking them and force them into going by telling them it'll be a fun and enriching experience, which is so much bullshit you couldn't shovel it. The whole process is stupid, and should not be as big of a deal as people have made it, so screw the speeling bees.

P.S. this blog sucked a lot of ass. the point was that spelling bees are evil and a i shouldn't need an epi-pen to get through elementry school.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://openmouthsts.blogspot.com/2005/07/spelling-bees-but-im-allergic-to-bees.html' title='Spelling bees? I was going to bed one night and it was behind the furniture, i heard it and i thought it was in the fucking wall and was a genetically mutated rat of montrous proportion. But then i thought, naaa, they only have those in NYC and in comic books. The next morning i woke up to find the poor artificial mouse, dead, surrounded by vomit and and vomit coated hairball. All I could say or do was glare at the cat and take a pic for all y'all. Little did i know that later on it was going to get me back with it's cat voodoo....in short, i stepped in the shit before i went ot bed that night. I didn't feel like glaring at the cat and my friends said the one who stepped in it had to clean it up. What is their problem, it's their poor fucking excuse for a cat and i'm the freakn' guest. they should have cleaned it up before their guest, who flew on a plane all the way to seattle, stepped in it. That is the tale of the horrifying artificial mouse murder. The End.

Knitting rhymes?

I'm a knitter (continental) and crocheter. I'm still a beginner, but I've learned a lot in the past few months. But if there's one thing taht bugs me about knitting, it's the knitting rhymes. What's with them? Nobody can remember them and they don't make any sense anyway. Check this one out: (this one is for the knit stitch) "Go inside, and grab your scarf, then go outside, before the cat barfs." Yeah, I get that cats barf (it's really gross, if you don't believe me check the CATUION CRIMESCENE...) but how often do cats vomit on scarves? I guess it could be more of their evil voodoo but whatever. I don't get that one.

Here's another for the purl stitch: "Under the fence, catch the sheep, back we come, off we leap." Why do we want to catch a sheep again? I'm trying to knit not fall asleep. The only thing I think of when I say this rhyme is ANIMAL CRUELTY.

Point is, I don't get knitting rhymes. Come to think of it I don't get most "knot rhymes". There's always some kind of animal or animal hole: sheep, cat, rabbit hole, fox hole. What the hell's with that? Just because you put animals in something doesn't make it kid friendly or particularly clever you know. In fact if I was a kid learning to knit and I had to go in a fox hole, i'd be petrified. I'd probably poke my knitting teacher's eye out with the knitting needles as i ran from the door 'cause i'm telling you right now, I ain't go'n in no fix hole if you catch my drift. yeah, couldn't they think of something else besides animals, something that people can relate to in this age, because nobody these day's is running around a tree, over a fence, in a fox hole, and grabbing some sheep. Maybe, if they did something like: in the store, grab the loot, then run outside before the policemen shoot. Again, what's with the knitting rhymes?

Hello homosapiens of the world, and you too

Welcome to the first ever Something to say blog. That's right you're the first soul, besides me of of course, to ever view this blog. As a new blogger I'll try to bring lots of random stuff to the table but in addition I have something to say. You'll hear my opinions, views, and ideas about a bunch of different things in the world. Some will be deep and others, bubble gum stupid. I have lot's of different interests so don't be surprised if i'm into one thing one week and something else another week. On occasion it may seem like I'm disagreeing with myself on something that I said before but that either means that i've changed my mind or want to put out other people's view. Are we on the same page? Often I'll write like I'm talking especially if i'm passionate about the issue I'm addressing. Enjoy it, I guess.

P.S. this post isn't really begging for comments so i don 't expect any buit if there's something you'd like to hear my opinion on just hollaback with a comment.

P.P.S. this introductory post will probably be the most formal one you'll ever get.
